Variety Spin 4 Kids 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024
2021: We were honoured to join forces with our colleagues across the ATB Morton Group of Companies on Friday 23rd April 2021 and pull out the lycra and gym gear to pedal hard to support kids in need.
Variety – the Children’s Charity host the Newcastle Spin 4 Kids event annually to raise much needed funds for the Charity. The event consists of a 5hr spin bike challenge with teams of up to 10 people rotating through a tag team approach to keep the pedals moving for the full duration of the event. The 2021 event raised just over $70k with 29 teams located either at The Station Newcastle or virtually in their own offices across Newcastle.
ATB’s two teams of 10 riders managed to raise an impressive combined total of $8,500, with the teams riding 144 and 148km. Hunter Galvanizing’s one and only rider, Michael Palozzi, was the top fundraiser across all ATB riders, raising a total of $1.45k. Well done Michael!
2022: Similar to last year, this fundraiser was another huge success and Michael Palozzi flew the Hunter Gal flag once again on Friday 1st April 2022. The two ATB Morton teams raised a combined total of just over $5000 with Michael taking out the top fundraising position with $1190 in donations. Our two teams managed to collaboratively pedal 148.19km and 142.13km this time around.
2023: Thursday 23rd March and Michael Palozzi represented Hunter Gal once again alongside Danny Lozanovski. We were part of ATB Morton’s three teams this year raising $8,500. Michael and Danny were two of the top fundrasiers from the ATB Group, raising $1, 340 and $1,480 respectively. The three teams rode 135.43, 140.72 and 140.06km.
2024: Friday 15th March and we had two fresh respresentatives for Hunter Gal this year. Josh and Zach O’brien took tot eh bikes to help us rasie funds for Variety. Across the two ATB Morotn Group teams we collaboratively rasied $5,700 which contributed to an overall $55,000 rasied as part of the event. The two teams rode 145.35 and 134.7km each this year.
Bikers for Kids Newcastle Toy Run 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021
Hunter Galvanizing has been an official sponsor of the Newcastle Toy Run for 4 years now in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2021. We provide our large tautliner to be used as the Toy Truck that carts all of the donations from Wickham Park to the Salvation Army depot.
Variety NSW Bash 2017, 2018, 2019
We have been proud supporters and participants in the Variety NSW Bash for three years now in Car 85 aka “Mister Maker”. The bash is a celebration of one year’s worth of fundraising in which more than 100 teams visit remote schools throughout NSW and ACT granting much-needed sensory equipment and learning resources.
Each year we form a new team consisting of three to four staff members from various divisions within our business network. The new team aims to raise the bar on their fundraising and achieve more than the team in the previous year. We’ve progressed from raising $12,000 in our first year, to $17,000 in the second year and $20,000 in our third year. What will this year’s team reach?
