Access Steps - Sydney Harbour Bridge
In partnership with 4Ken, Hunter Galvanizing hot dip galvanized a series of cantilever stairs (from one board to five board) to be installed on the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge. The stair system was designed in-house by 4Ken and eliminates bolting and reduces labour costs.
Due to the exposed location of the stairs, galvanizing was specified by the RMS to ensure the products meet the specified 25-year warranty. Paint alone would only warrant the product for approx. 15 years.

BHP Centenary Memorial Sculpture
Fantastic artist Will Maguire recently had some work processed at Hunter Galvanizing.
"The design was based around simple abstract forms in heavy forged steel representing both the workers who died and the people who mourn them. The figures stand in a supportive circle around a sinking column of steel representing the steelworks and the collective fading memory of those times and people."
