ASI held their annual Economic Briefing at Wests Bowling Club, Lambton on 10th November 2015.
35 attendees turned out including fabricators, suppliers and industry analysts.
Hunter Galvanizing had 5 representatives attend to enjoy a free hot breakfast followed by the presentation by Mark Stephens of Onesteel.
Some of the key messages that came out of Mark’s presentation were:
- Strong residential growth should continue over next 3 years
- China economy slowing over next 3 years
- Weak AUS$ should see moderate local growth in manufacturing over next 3-5 years
- Push for imported fabricated steel to be held to Australian Standards
The breakfast presentation was another great opportunity to network with other industry leaders and discuss current and future issues and events within the steel game.
